Be silent! vs. Be quiet!

Hi teachers,

Sometimes my teacher says Be quiet! and sometimes he says Be silent!.

Could you tell me the difference between them?
The same question applies to Silent please and Quiet please.

They are the same. Your teacher varies the command in order to try to make you pay attention and shut up.

It is 'Silence, please'.
