I was watching the movie 'Four weddings and a funeral'. In the film an American girl attended the wedding and she was surprised that the bride and the groom didn't kiss each other at the wedding. She told Charles that in America they would kiss each other at the wedding. And Charles answered that they were conservative.

Could you please tell me whether there is such a difference between Britain and the States? Or it is only true in the film?
