I wonder if " Once" belongs to a sequence word, like after, first, next.in the following sentence.
ex) Once the jar has cooled, you can store it untill needed.
what do you think???

In the context you give, "once" can be considered as a sequence word. It follows from the jar being hot to being cold.
"Once the cake has cooled it may be stored in a tin until needed."
This is another example. A cake comes hot from the oven and is cooled on a rack. When it is cool it may be stored in a tin.
