Would you recommend it as a good resource for learning? I have to ask.

Does this sound appropriate in a teaching environment: "i don't know whether it is legal or not but.."?

If not, I'd suggest that advertising chat rooms is inappropriate and prone to trouble. Please don't. ;-)
