20 metres (and) five centimetres...

Hi,

Is it correct to say '10 hours ten minutes','ten hours and ten minutes','20 metres five centimetres','20 metres and five centimetres' , 'two thousand (and) ten','two hundred (and) fifty','two hundred (and) fifty thousand'... or do we have to leave out or use 'and' depending on what we want to say ? What about other similar examples?

I´d say use the "and" in spoken English,but then again Americans shorten things and say "go figure out" instead of "go and figure it out" as I have often seen in text books..
