hi teacher

i would like to know the meaning of grammar terms ' be supposed to'.
could you give me some example with meaning.

It means that something sghould happen, but may not:

He was supposed to be there = he was expected, but didn't go
They're supposed to be here at 9 = 9 is the time arranged, but they may not be on time

There is a chant, frequently sung at football games by away supporters to the home fans:
"You're supposed to be at home!" meaning "why are you so quiet? It's your stadium, but we are singing louder than you are"
