Playing soccer we have the word "offside". "Offside" is an adjective or in some cases an adverb. What's the noun given for the word "offside" ??
Like for example dead is an adjective and death is a noun.

In ordinary conversation, you sometimes hear phrases such as "call for an offside", "scream for an offside", etc. So it does exist as a noun.

However, in the contexts where you might expect a noun, it's more common to use a phrase such as "he was offside", "he was in an offside position", "he was booked for being offside", "an offside offence", etc.

Yes, offside is an adjective, adverb, and noun, especially in this statistic-mad age, where the number of offsides is displayed during the game.

I would use the term 'soccer' - originally British public-schoolboy slang - as little as possible. The correct term, football, can cause confusion in the US and Australia, but 'soccer' can invite a negative reaction.
