Default what tense shall i use?

the man is in charge of the household meaning pressure and stress pounding on his back, but here comes the woman not to lend a habd , but to pound on his back as well.


in this sentence, what tense shall we use. i am citing an example in real life.or manybe talk about something which we have known.

actually,i took this sentece out from an essay, i guess its about regular occurencebecause the author were not taking about himself. he was like cited an example in real life.

In that case, probably the present tense is best!

Some parts need a little more attention:
