can someone please tell me if this expression can be used in the military to say to lay/place a mine?

Hello Possopo

I can't find any evidence on Google that this expression is in use for "to lay a mine"; but perhaps it's a very new (or very old) expression.

Perhaps a member with more military expertise than me will pass by and let us know.

Where did you find it?
