 make someone's day I've seen the sentence "you made my day/week/year" many times but I have no idea what it means,can you please tell me? thanks very much for your help! |

It is a common way to say to someone that they have done or said something which has made you extremely happy. In other words - you have made my day/week, etc a very happy one. |

Re: make someone's day  make sb’s day to make sb feel very happy on a particular day: The phone call from Mike really made my day. Have you ever heard the phrases "make somebody's week" and "make somebody's year"? |
