"The silhouette of Walcheren bristled up with guns is brining some sad thoughts."

can someone please help me understand the sentence? especially the second part.

Hi Possopo,

I think it means :The silhouette of Walcheren covered with/thick [as if with bristles] with guns is revealing/disclosing some sad thoughts.

Bristled does mean covered with/thick with. I'm afraid, Possopo, that in the second part there again seems to be a spelling mistake. There is no verb brine - and I guess again it should be bring.

I thought it might be "bringing" but I hesitated. I have to be more careful.
