.
Well, neither is a complete statement carrying meaning, but worth here is an adjective, not a verb: How much is it worth?
.
Dear Teachers:
Which is correct and why?
1) Does it worth?
2) Is it worth?
Thanks in advance.

Well Quest,
Both are correct.I agree with Mr.Micawber.It depends on what kind of sentence you use with it.
.
I cannot see #1 as possible. Can anyone make me a sentence with it?
.
Umm...am I wrong?
Actually this sentence is from a poem.(long one)
{
I shed a drop of tear,
Does / Is it worth?
}

Hi,
I agree with MrMicawber.
Worth cannot be used as a verb. One test for whether a word can be used as a verb is if it is possible to conjugate it
e.g. If "worth" were a verb, it would be possible to say smth. like :
"Last year I was worthed a million dollars". However, this is ungrammatical. The proper sentence would be : Last year I was worth a million dollars.
"Worth " may only be used as a noun or adjective.
The verb is : "to be worth" and the only word conjugated here is "be"
e.g. This antique piece of furniture is worth more than you think it is.
