| Hi! thanks for you replies both of you I think the reason "manner to" sounds odd is because you usually talk about somebody's manner as their character rather than their method. So you can say "the manner to build the desk is like this" but it doesn't sound right when you say "the manner to build the desk is like this" because we think of individual manner. |
