Neither. We normally used compared with, unless an object is present:
Compared with snowboarding, skiing is quite tame.
Comparing snowboarding with skiiing, I find the latter is quite tame.

+ ing we say: comparing with ....... it's ........
or: compare with ........ it's.........
which one is correct, and why. someone explain?
