Default some interview questions

I would like to know the meaning of the following interview question:

How would you describe yourself?
Hmm...Is it asking for my personality in particular? Like, "what kind of person do you think you are?" Or it is simply equivalent to, "Tell me about yourself?"

Thank you in advance.

It means describe your qualities as a person. For example: "I see myself as hard-working and resolute, but I am also sociable and good fun to be with."

Hi

"Tell me about yourself":

Since this is often the opening question in an interview, you have to cover four topics: early years, education, work history, and recent career experience.
Emphasize this last subject. Keep your answer to a minute or two at most.

When the question is :"How would you describe yourself?", the aswer might be :
self-confident, sociable, determined, capable of work under pressure, honest, hard -working, well-organized person, positive attitude towards colleagues and work, capable to work in a team of profesionals, communication abilities, etc.
But , don`t exaggerate!

Regards,

.

Hi, they are asking what kind of person you are.
They would expect to hear about ---
Your ambitions, whether you like taking responsibility, if you are a team player ,your communication skills ( this is if your talking about a job interview ).

Tom
