    Default I need your help

Hello!! My question has to do with "no" and "not". When WE must use it? WHAT is the difference between them?

    'No' is a response.
    'Not' denotes a negative.

    Ex.
Leila said, "Are you going to the club tonight?"
    Jack responded, "No."

John said, "I am not going to the club tonight."
