Unhappy STUCK AGAIN your opinion please guys need to solve this

You are the head of department and you observe this exchange in a teacher's
lesson. What advice can you give her?
Teacher: Now you try to complete this sentence in your own way. 'If I win the lottery I
…..…..'
Jacob: If I win the lottery, I will buy a new car.
TT: Maria?
Maria: If I win the lottery, I will buy a new house.
TT: Ying?
Ying: If I win the lottery, I will go China for a holiday.
Teacher: Marta?
Marta: If I won the lottery, I will go on holiday.
Teacher: No, that's not right Marta. You haven't been listening. Dodee?
Dodee: If I win the lottery, I will stop working and retire.
Teacher: Ok. Now write five sentences of your own.

Using "If I win the lottery" you would need to phrase the next part "I will".
Using "If I won the lottery" you would need to phrase the next part "I would".

On a side note, the Teacher specified that the sentance to complete was "If I win the lottery I ...."; therefore Marta was wrong for saying "If I won the lottery", regardless.

Something about the statement seems wrong to me; however I cannot seem to find anything wrong with it, so I would say that, yes you can say it.

You can say this ( you can use present simple or perfect in this type of conditional )

But it means something slightly different ----

If I`ve won the lottery ( the lottery has been completed but I don`t know the result)

I will buy a new house ( this is my intention )

Have you noted something specific that you think the teacher has done, or are you asking for general comments on the teaching style.

Since we don't know all the parameters that have been set out by either the teacher or you for this exercise, it's kind of difficult to understand what you mean, Alykan.

Thumbs up Re: STUCK AGAIN your opinion please guys need to solve this

well thanks its difficult, because thats all i have as well, actually i have written something might as well share that with you guys

When teacher is practising chain drills or add on she should have not stuck with one particular example and also participate the lesson a bit more than what she has done. The teacher wanted students to practise the following sentence on their own way “if I win the lottery I …..” Teacher didn’t involve much, after she has giving the subject to be practised, I will explain here;
Jacob: if I win the lottery, I will buy a new car. [Then teacher passes the subject without any question or explanation to the other students]
TT: Maria? [what Maria should do here supposing she was listening then she can answer but what about if she was not listening then what she should have done] I would advise to the teacher in this occasion to repeat the heading or subject each time when she does ask the question to another student.
TT: if you win a the lottery, what would you do with it Maria ?
Maria: if I win the lottery, I will buy a new house.
And also the teacher should have not spoken to Marta like that for the mistake she has done, I suppose could have been better for Marta’s confident if the teacher has told Marta privately, what mistake she has done.
