Hi Teelewis First and foremost, you should have a lesson plan written out. It`s a kind of road map , as one of my English teachers used to say. This lesson plan tells you where to go and when. It will help you know how much time each activity could or might take and how to use your time in class. The present perfect tense, for example, is usually taught over several lessons and is fully explained in higher levels. Whenever you do a lesson plan , you have to take into consideration your students`level. You cannot teach this tense [ or others] in only one lesson. I can say that there is a wealth of ESL/EFL material on the internet that you can use.You can save some free handsout with exercises, short texts and stories, jokes, etc. that use different English tenses. Just use different techniques and methods : role play, group work, pair work, brainstorming and of, course those techniques that fit to your class level. I`d like to recommend you [ if I may] some sites to help you: http://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/ta..._perfect.shtml http://www.btinternet.com/~ted.power/lev03.html http://www.world-english.org/englishtenses.htm and many others on web.
