Default Diagramming Sentences

Please help me diagram this sentence. Is in an adverb and essay a direct object? Or is in an essay a prepositional phrase?

Before you turn in an essay, you should proofread it thoroughly.

"Turn in" is a phrasal verb. "Before you turn in an essay" is an adverbial phrase. The word "essay" is the object of "turn in".

Does that help?
