Default True to form

True to form, the Western consensus is likely to go from one extreme to another in assessing the prospects for the Chinese economy, with euphoria over the boom quickly giving way to fears of the coming bust.

The above is from an article.
I was wondering the meaning of "true to form". I vaguely know what it means, but not sure.

Could you please tell me sth about it?And give me some examples.

Thanks !!

Happy New Year!! :) [/quote]

True to form:
  • typical; as expected; fitting the usual pattern

Example:
  • True to form, he found a reason to pick an argument.

Here's another:
  • True to form, Cas gave an explanation that was on the money.
