I have the two sentences. They are "I have something like this." and "I have like this." Which is correct for formal English?
"I have something like this" meaning that you have something similar to somebody else, is ok
"I have like this" does not make any sense in English - Is not correct

Thank you,missnmiller.
I'd like to give you an example.
Suppose that there is a hat on a table. That's not mine. But I have a hat similar to the hat on the table. I want to say about that to my friend.
"I have a hat like this."
"I have something like this."
"I have like this."
Out of these three sentences, which is correct in English Language usage?
I have a hat like this. This is the most accurate way to say this.
I have something like this. This is really too vague. It could mean you have something of that color, shape, etc.
I have like this. This is ungrammatical English. Have is a transitive verb and requires a direct object.
I have one like this. This is how we normally say what you are trying to say.
