bold thesis?

Hi everybody,

Is it possible to say that a thesis is "bold"? (i.e. daring?)

For example: "Although it will be shown that Humble’s thesis is bold as far as it concerns the effects of Beeton’s work on women’s history..."

If not, what could I use instead of "bold"??
