Helping vs Having helped

I need your piece of advice.
Would you be so kind to explain the difference in meaning of the following sentences.
'Thank you for helping me.'
and
'Thank you for having helped me.'
I'd much obliged to you if you gave me an explanation.

'Thank you for helping me.'
and
'Thank you for having helped me.'
These sentences are both correct. They mean the same if you're talking abt the past. For instance, somebody helped you to sort out some trouble.
If you want to thank somebody for their regular help, you say #1.
