Default Use of different verbs

How do I explain to an ESL friend when to use the following correctly:

say...talk....speak

hear...listen

look...watch...see

Hear- tends to be inactive rather than when you're actively using the sense, which would be listening.
Look- we tend to look at static things and watch moving ones.
