when do you use because or because of?
After "because" is a clause:
eg: Because his leg has been broken, he can't walk.
After "because of" is a phrase:
eg: Because of his broken leg, he can't walk.
I think 'because' can also be used in sentences which has no clauses.
For e.g.
A: "Why didn't you come to school that day?"
B: "Because I was having headache".
