Could you please tell which of the following two sentences is correct?
" She worried about you"
" She was worried about you"
The second one definitely.
The second sentence is best choice.
The first one is ungrammatical. You shouldn't write or say like that.Originally Posted by Mutawakil Aldhubaibi
No you can't. The verb bore has to have an object - "he bored us last night" is good. "He was bored last night" is also good, again because bored in this example is an adjective.
You need to look in your grammar books at the use of the past participle and present participle as adjectives. These can have very different meanins, with bored and boring being good examples.
He was boring last night - describes how the person was, or behaved.
He was bored last night - describes how he felt.
This is quite a big subject, and very important, so deserves some time spent understanding the rules.
Thanks for correcting me.Originally Posted by Mutawakil Aldhubaibi
