Default Please Student In Need of Guidance, reading and writing wise.

Ohh my where to start. Well first of I'm new to the boards. I need drastic help in my english. In all aspects of it. I don't even know how to punctutate, grammar anything, and I'm a High school Junior! Please I need guidance in all aspects of the english, even those I did not mention. Everything I need from grade 6th through 12. I really want to attend NYU, but I need a drastic change in a year and a half, I worry so much, can someone please offer insight and help.

The cynical side of me wants to ask how did you get to the 11th grade without a knowledge of basic grammar and punctuation? You'll be taking the SAT this year if you want to go to NYU, and a major portion of your score is English comprehension, grammar and punctuation. It will be nearly impossible to cram six years of instruction into such a short time; your best bet is to get a private tutor who can personally evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and coach you in the areas where you need the most help. Good luck!

Its simple things like when to use a comma and all the other signs. A simple reference site is what I was hoping for, and yes I get home instructed. I mean I could be one of those gifted students but just lacking fundamentals, I guess you can blame the New York City public school system for that.
