There is no one basic rule of English grammar. Things would certainly be a lot simpler if there was.

First, study “Eight Parts of Speech”, “Sentence Constructions”, “Article” and “Tense”.
And then learn the usage.
How to use
Noun
It can be used in Subject and Object, for example: “Mr.Suleon loves Ms.Junilear.
Adjective
It can be used to modify a noun and in verb place of sentence along with verb to Be.
A beautiful lady (article + adjective + noun=noun)
A beautiful lady is smart. (Verb to Be + adjective = verb)
and so on.
That’s some of what I, a non-native English speaker, call Basic English Grammar rules for my students.
