1-Let us go. The good ones are near.

If the context doesn't allow us to determine what 'ones' refers to, should we assume that it refers to people? Could it be 'the good days' are near?

'ones' here,if I am not wrong, refers to many things like you have said, it might also refers to 'the good days','people'.

Ones can substitute anything, I mean any count nouns. The context always tells what those things are.
