Which one of the following would be correct?

He also complains that because of his record it could be extremely difficult to find a job. “I’m on parole-I have no address.”

OR

He also complains that because of his record it could be extremely difficult to find a job; “I’m on parole-I have no address.”

If you are referring to the punctuation mark after job, then I would use a period or colon, not a semi-colon.

A semicolon is incorrect. I would use a colon rather than full stop, because a colon in this context indicates that the following sentence is directly related to the previous sentence (there are other uses for a colon). Strictly, you should 'introduce' the quoted sentence - quoting alone does not constitute a sentence, and a colon must be followed by a complete grammatical sentence.
