Is this correctly punctuated ?
We walked into the room. "I'm not going tonight," Tom said, "the same old crowd will be there."
1. I've heard that a new speech turn should begin on a new line.
2. Tom says two sentences, but the punctuation is the same as if the second quote continued a sentence.

All the best.![]()
Hi Casiopea,
Sorry to bother you again, but I have a technical problem when I click "here". Can you tell me the answer ?
Thanks, river.
I've read the rules and example suggested by Casiopea, but still don't understand about new speech turns on new lines. In the example, why isn't "Oops !" on a new line ?
