It is an archaic term for a small stream. water + brook
It was quite surprising for me not to find a definition for the word "waterbrooks" in any of well known dictionaries.
It appears in the phrase "like as the hart desireth the waterbrooks" Psalm 42.
Can anybody help?
It is an archaic term for a small stream. water + brook
The word waterbrook is, apparently, an archaic form of brook, which, apparently, means the same thing (a small, natural stream of fresh water).
