Can you help?
I’ve just added a ‘comments’ function to the student comics on my site:
http://www.grammarmancomic.com/sscom.html
I’d love it if I could go into work this weekend and show my teens their comics with feedback added at the bottom (they worked so hard on them).
If you have the time to take your students to a computer room and look at the comics, that would be great. Feedback only needs to be a sentence or two.
As a bonus, there’s a quiz on that same page (the gallery menu). There are 20 questions in the quiz, with two answers to be found in each of the ten comics.
Thanks for reading this,
Brian
Why don't you add the site to our links directory? http://www.usingenglish.com/links/![]()
Thanks for the suggestion, Red5. I've submitted the link.
Brian
I am pretty sure I added it a while back.![]()
Oh - that's what I was thinking too! But when Red5 suggested it, I had a little search around the links first and couldn't find it. Oh well - I'm sure it's in there somewhere.
Thanks!
Brian
Here it is: http://www.usingenglish.com/cgi-bin/...ry=comic&Go=Go
BTW, do you want to add a description of it to the Review section- we are starting to add reviews and they seem quite popular.![]()
PS Brian, I have changed the text to add the text that you submitted today to the original entry, though a review would still be much appreciated. If you look here, you'll see that a review does get looked at: http://www.usingenglish.com/cgi-bin/...ew.cgi?ID=1272
Hi Tdol,
Do you mean I should review my own site? Surely it would be a biased review?!
If it's ok, then i'll go ahead ... how many words?
Brian
It would be biased, but as long as it tries to describe the aims of the site, then what's wrong with that? If it's thisisthegreatestsiteinthehistoryoftheuniverse, I might be tempted to delete it, but an explanation to the many viewers of the section of why they should visit the site and what they can expect will assist them in making their choices about which sites to visit. I don't know if there's a limit of words, but I would imagine that a paragraph or two should be enough to get them heading your way.![]()
