'From the mountains comes the sound of....'

hi,![]()
In my opinion this sentence is not correct. It must be re-formulated like this:
"The sound of..... comes from the mountains. So here the verb "come" is related to the noun "sound". Or if you insist in your way you have to put a comma between "mountains" and 'sound of..." Just like this:
"From the mountains, the sound of.... comes( like a musik)

It seems like a poetic sentence.
Hi Fazzu
.
Mad-ox is right. You need the singular form "comes" because the subject of the sentence is "sound" (not "mountains").
.
Rewritten using a more typical word order:
The sound of (...) comes from the mountains.
.
Thanks guys.I was all confused by this only sentence with the rules.![]()
