Default how to say a number

if I have a number like "22222834", can I say "five two's eight three four"?
Or do I have to say "two two two two two eight three four"?
I think the second one is quite clumsy, because I have to count how many "two"s have I said but if I use the first one, I'm afraid that people may think that I said "52834".

If you're trying to be clear, to recite a number so someone can write it down, you do it whatever way works, Polygon. For this I might say it both ways;

It's "five two's, then eight three four; that's "two two two two two eight three four".

I think the first choice is the right one. Another way could be saying "five times two, eight, three four etc..."
