Talking useful words

Hello teachers

I have to do a glossary of 500 words for a final exam and I have to include words that can be useful for a narrative-descriptive composition. I can include idioms as well and I would like to know which are the more appropriates in a narrative, because I don't want to include something that is rather informal.

Thank you.

Ana.

It's a very wide remit and hard to say. There are some things that would help a narrative like sequencing, but I honestly cannot think of which idioms should make it into the top 500 words.
