Default sentence analysis

Actually i want to know difference between this sentence pattern
i find that these two sentence pattern seem to similar in character

Subject + Verb + Indirect Object + Direct Object

That dentist teaches them mathematics.
They handed him a piece of paper.
Those librarians offered her a ride home.
They ask him a question.
I read the children a story.

Subject + Verb + Object + Complement

Julie elected Bill captain of our team.
Those teachers kept the room clean.
Those photographers named the baby Susan.
That dentist got the TV repaired.
They find the book interesting.
Those gardners have him drive.
That photographer makes him cry.
