I would like to know if it is ok to say:

1)'a thumping noise/sound'.
2)'a whistling noise'
3)'a whisper noise'
4)'squealing noise'
5)'thuding noise'
6)'wailing cry'

3 This sounds strange to me- if it's a whisper, then just say that or the sound of a whisper (I prefer this to 'noise' as it's not very loud)
