The difference between A and B is.... can we use between word? | In BE, 'from' is strongly preferred (I mean, some people will 'tut' if you say 'than'). I admit that to my ear, 'than' seems rather infelicitous (I'll put it no more strongly than that  ), but more and more people are using it.
'Between' is good too.
