a very experienced buff told me that there is no plural form for equipments..
is that so ?![]()
there is plural form - it is "equipments"![]()
This is debatable. The plural form can be found occasionally, but in the British National Corpus there are only 27 examples of the plural, some of which are incorrect, and 8,843 examples of equipment, so it is overwhelmingly used uncountably. Generally, we make the plural with a another noun- pieces of equipment, etc, and plenty of people will say that it has no plural form.
