English is a dynamic language that keeps on changing with time and age.
These days when I meet my friends and everybody wishes me "a good one" all the time. What actually do they mean?
Bye members and all of you have a good one this weekend.
Jason. | "Have a good one" is a generic wish that you enjoy whatever it is that you are about to do. Unfortunately through overuse, it has now become associated with meaning "I don't care what you're doing - just go and do it". I'm not suggesting your friends mean that, but be careful when and how you use the sentence. It has reached the status of a cliche. |
