how to interprate the meaning of a sentence
the pepsi cola company has a special offer available. the offer involves a rebate. the "official mail-in rebate form" gives instructions on how to qualify for the rebate available. instruction #1 reads as follows:
1. BUY the following Pepsi-Cola AND Frito-Lay products: (3) 12-packs OR (2) 24 packs (of cans) of any Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Vanilla, Mountain Dew or Sierra Mist product AND (3) 9-1/2 oz. or larger size bags of any LAY"S Potato Chips, DORITO Tortilla Chips, RUFFLES Potato Chips, TOSTITTOS Tortilla Chips, Frito Corn Chips, or CHEETOS Cheese Flavored Snacks.
Based on how this instruction is written wouldn't someone be able to buy (3) 12-packs of any Pepsi product like Cherry Pepsi, or Lemon Pepsi, or even Mug Root Beer to qualify for the rebate?

It says any Pepsi product, so Cherry Pepsi would be fine, IMO.

It says the offer applies to any Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Vanilla, Mountain Dew or Sierra Mist product . That's pretty specific and seems to exclude anything else. If they had wanted to include all Pepsi products in the offer they could have stated that it applies to any Pepsi product. It seems to me that the offer applies only to those products specifically mentioned. It seems to me that if they had wanted to include, for example, Cherry Pepsi in the offer that they would have mentioned it. Thus, the short answer to your question is no.
