Death is a strong taboo in English, which is why we use terms like 'pass away' and even 'fall asleep'. Sex is another taboo area, though we express this through our use of swearing. For a dictionary of taboo, go to www.viz.co.uk and look at the Profanisaurus, which has a huge collection of taboo terms. :)
