    Tnx, Mike,But they are different, are they not? In your sentence there's more certainty than in mine. ...as if... still leaves some hope.

    I don't see much difference in the certainty. But I do see a difference in the grammar.

    thank you all... but i'm still confused...I just want to learn whether we can use "as" for a real situation or not and whether it's gramatically correct or not...

    "As" is fine as a conjunction. It is "as if" that is problematic. For me, the construction defines an unreal situation.
