Default On The Loose

Dear Teachers,

a. What’s with you guys? All of you have never been to a zoo?
- “what’s with you guys?” here means “what’s wrong with you guys?”, right?

b. All units attention! We have a chimp on the loose.
- “we have a chimp on the loose” means “we have a chimp escaping”, right?

Thanks very much

Right

"On the loose" means he's already escaped and is running freely.
