Default phrasal verb "get up"

How does one use the meaning of organizing associated with "get up"
Is it right to say "we got up a party to celebrate her success"

Default Re: phrasal verb "get up"

I have never heard of this. As far as I know, the only ways to use "get up" are like this:

As a verb
I get up at 6:00 every morning (=wake up)
I got up and walked over to where he was (=stand up)

get up sb's nose
He gets up my nose (=he annoys me, BrE & AusE, <INFORMAL>)

As a noun
He couldn't work in this get-up (=ridiculous pair of clothes, <INFORMAL>,notice the hyphen)

EDIT:
How about that...You were right. I found it in this sentence: "People got up a petition". Used in BrE. You learn something new every day
