thanks for replying to my previous post. If I wanted to say 'my friend is staying in my house for a few days' in a more sophisticated way...

Can I say 'My friend is staying over with me for a few day' or 'my friend is staying over my house for a few days'

Using the word "over" does not make the statement more sophisticated.
