Job Hunting
Job hunting is a difficult process in life where it’s all about you. The government is getting very strict on hiring people with poor education and drug usage. The job market is extremely tight in many places, even for most qualified candidates. Not only jobs where a degree is needed but fast food restaurants also. It’s all about what you have to offer employers such as skills, knowledge, and a clean background.
Employers in today’s society are not hiring people with out experience. Mainly because of the time put into training. Whenever I applied for my first job, I was turned down because I didn’t have any experience. Sometimes the employers may say that not having any experience would not prevent you from getting the job, usually it will.
Education is also a big factor in getting hired almost anywhere now. The jobs that require a high school diploma and that don’t require a diploma. You can hardly find a job with just a high school diploma; employers now are looking for college degrees. Fast food restaurants like McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger king, and so on are even looking for people with some kind of education. If you don’t have the required education level when trying to get a job, it’s going to be a difficult process for you.
The government proposed new rules for mandatory drug test that includes saliva and sweat along with urine. Legalized, mandatory drug testing in the work place has caused quite a problem. A lot of employed people were affected by drug screenings.
Employers have the right to expect their employees not to be high, stoned, or asleep. Job performance is the top priority; If you’re not able to do the work, employers have a legitimate reason for not hiring you or termination. |
