| can you help? Do i need a degree to work as a English teacher in say Japan or Taiwan etc? I'm currently working my way through an on-line TEFL course.Would that be enough to actually teach? many thanks |

That was when the demand was way high and the joke was, "They'll take anybody as long as the body is still warm". Now, don't get me wrong; I'm certainly not condoning such behavior. I've seen some god awful language teachers with Masters and I've seen some very effective teachers who had but a high school education. |
