Question Idiom question

Hi!
What does the idiom "It's no party" mean?

It simply means, "It is not fun."
Also with the same meaning, "This is no picnic."

David Byrne of the Talking Heads wrote:

"This ain't no party. This ain't no disco. This ain't no foolin' around."

I think the name of the song is "Life During Wartime," but I could be mistaken.
